《ETHYRIAL:ECHOES OF YORE》

Earlier this week, Gellyberry Studios announced that it would be postponing the next update for Ethyria: Echoes of Yore and its promised roadmap due to what they called "unfortunate news." The team has now clarified what happened, saying the studio has terminated its partnership with its publisher, Freedom Games, and the old-school MMORPG is now free to play.
"After careful consideration and deliberation with our publisher, Freedom, we have agreed that the best path forward is for us to work independently on the game," the studio revealed.
“While Freedom has been a valuable partner to us and has assisted us throughout the process, we have been unable to achieve the level of quality that Freedom and we both hoped to achieve, so continuing this relationship does not make sense. At this time , Freedom Games will provide more investment.”
With their newfound freedom, the team says they'll enter an expanded testing and development phase to refine existing mechanics, add new content, and address widespread issues. They also eliminated the subscription requirement and made the game completely free.
"Our goal in making free-to-play games is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the game without any restrictions," Gellyberry shared. "Players will have unlimited access, and we will work tirelessly to improve the overall experience.
