Blizzard Begins Testing Major PvP Changes For World Of Warcraft Classic

Blizzard Entertainment is looking to improve World of Warcraft Classic's PvP system to make it easier for players to earn honor points and unlock PvP gear and titles. In its current state, the PvP system requires constant grinding to reach the top rank of the honor system, which tends to force players to do more grinding to maintain rank.
In response, Blizzard plans to eliminate Ranking Points entirely. Instead, players need to reach specific honor point milestones to level up. This change removes the risk of a ranking drop if a player decides to pause PvP or even the game. The rot mechanic will remain, but will be adjusted to allow players to take a break without losing progress.
Blizzard explained: "The goal of our new system is to award players rank based on whether they reach specific honor milestones, with increasing levels of engagement and challenge over time and as players move through the ranks to maintain their progress. .”
The studio added: "Regression is still something we want to maintain, but relegation to a lower tier is especially punishing for a higher tier when you need to maintain a steady and high level of play to keep up. "Needing to take a break can significantly impede someone's progress in the ranks, and in some cases, even taking a few days or a week off can cost a player weeks of progress."
Additionally, the update will enable players to earn honor and honor points immediately after each kill, allowing them to monitor progress in real time. This will ensure PvPers can track their progress without having to wait for daily updates.
With the above changes, Blizzard hopes to create a healthier PvP environment in World of Warcraft Classic, with less stress associated with trying to rank up and maintain a position on the leaderboard. These changes are now live in the WoW Classic public beta realm for those who want to check them out. The full patch notes can be found here. initial target. They also noted that the game is now back as a "passion project" without Freedom Games' support, but promised to continue updating it.
I'm not sure if that comment will be removed for reposting, but if not, Gellyberry Studios has a lot of work to do to restore itself and the game's status under the watchful eye of the gaming community.
