Maplestory M is an MMO for people who have little free time
Maplestory M launched globally in July 2018. If you're expecting the same experience as the original MapleStory, you'll be surprised.
You can still play and communicate with thousands of players from all over the world in real time. You can create and join guilds, and explore endless customization options just like the original game.
However, Maplestory M takes the functionality offered by the original Maplestory and makes "smartphone-friendly" improvements to it to make it even better.
Maplestory M does a good job of transferring the original interface of the game to mobile, making it more user friendly without compromising gameplay. In mobile games, players can easily see and access their controls, menus, quests, chat rooms, and health and mana bars at any time, both in and out of combat.
In contrast, the original game, like most MMORPGs, had a plethora of hotkeys attached to many of the game's functions, which could be difficult for new players to keep up with. Ease of access and visibility of game functions is an improvement.

Two game-changing features introduced with Maplestory M are auto-quests and auto-combat.
As soon as you start playing the game, you can access the automatic missions. It allows players to send their characters to obtain quests or fulfill the requirements of quests by making contact with non-player characters, which may include killing a certain number of golems or obtaining specific mob drops.
Auto Quest is great because it lets you be lazy. Why fiddle with an area map to find out where a certain NPC is, or waste precious time looking for a particular creature, when you can automatically go where you need to go?
Auto-quests reduce the amount of time you need to spend completing MapleStories quests, which are often tedious, many of which require messaging back and forth between NPCs, so you can get more out of it while hanging out or exploring with your guild. so much fun.
Autobattle unlocks when your character reaches level 20. Each day, you'll receive a free auto-battle "2-hour charge," a feature that allows a player's character to automatically attack and kill any adds on the map it's on.
When auto-battle is on, your character will automatically navigate the map, attack mobs, gain experience points, and absorb resources to maintain your health and mana. Characters are not immune to death or damage in auto-combat, so if they run out of potions or are too weak for the mobs they're facing, they die.
Once the automatic battle is over, you must take the initiative to swipe money or exchange money for in-game currency crystals to prolong the time of automatic battle. It's ideal for players who want to advance their character without investing a lot of time in honing.
One of my favorite things about these two new features is that they let you multitask at the same time. Auto-quests and auto-battles will continue to run in the background while you use other apps on your phone or perform other actions in Maplestory M.

This was impossible in the original game. If you want to level up your character, you need to sit and hone. If you want to buy something for your character, reorganize your character's inventory, or sift through possible accessories you can buy for your character in the shop, you'll have to allow time for that.
Now, your character can hone in and complete quests without sacrificing your time and energy that you'd rather devote to the more rewarding moments the game provides, such as interacting with your guild and engaging in elite dungeons work with others.
MapleStory M brings MapleStory back to life in a way I didn't expect. With the introduction of the auto-quest and auto-battle features, active time commitment is no longer a major requirement to enjoy the game.
